From permitting and TTB compliance to business startup and product development, Artisan can help you become a better distiller and a better distillery owner.

Want an opportunity to win a 30 gallon still? How about learning how to distill from scratch or add another product to your portfolio from leaders in the industry that focus on Grain-to-Glass production? Want more than just some marketing advice? How about instructors that not only have real experience in the industry, but also have academic credentials? If so, then the ASD Distilling School has the course for you!
The ASD Annual Distilling School has found its permanent home at its Eight Mile, Alabama manufacturing facility and has worked hard to put together a rigorous and deeply hands-on distilling school that focuses on the production of quality distilled spirits. Each of our instructors is either a distiller with over 10 years experience, or holds advanced degrees in the topic they are instructing. This isn’t a “hang out and drink” experience; it is a real course designed to help you learn your craft and make a better product. It is not just focused on startup distillers, either. We have experienced distillers come in to learn new processes, products, and knowledge. Let us help you go to the next level.
Where many schools focus on networking or marketing, the ASD Annual Distilling School focuses on production. From Grain selection and mashing to distillation, this course will give you the skills to produce a premium quality product. You will not only learn the science behind the craft of distilling, you will get hands on experience preparing a mash, running a still, and much more. The Full Course consists of 52 seat hours over 5 days, along with time for socializing, tasting craft spirits, and networking with over startup distillers, professional distillers, industry experts, and the ASD Team.
Fees do not include travel, lodging, or incidentals. Lodging can be secured for reduced rates at our partner hotel in Eight Mile, Alabama. More information on this will follow.
